Exporting Data To Arcgis

boamaprince
I have exported a polygon data to arcgis 9.3 data format but when i want to add it to the arcgis software i get this message "error opening feature class...number of shapes does not match the number of table records". Please what should i do in order to add this polygon data to the arcgis 9.3 software?

The number of vector elements in the map has to match the number of records in the table. Normally in Ilwis this is always true because domain of the vector map is the domain of the attribute table and thus these counts are identical. You could check there if this is true ( should be). Without seeing the data it is difficult to see what is going on so I can only guess (deleted polygons?).

The data I'm talking about is a polygon map landuse from the ilwis tutorials on ilwis website. Hope you have an idea on the data I'm referring to?
