From Arcgis(.shp) to ILWIS for Spatial Multi Criteria Analysis

teddy
Hello I am totally fresh for ILWIS and I had already uploaded a question but noone seemed to answer it.I am editing my question and uploading it seeking your help on another matter.I am currently working on Spatial Multicriteria Analysis capability of ILWIS where I am designing a corridor for a Bus rapid transit.I am at the stage where I am required to import the criteria maps I have created in Arcgis but I am expected to bring the files to ILWIS reproject it and rasterize it.But,the rasterized output map in ILWIS is constantly giving me a blank image or else a map with no meaning.I have used Arcgis 10 to build my initial geodatabase,I really could not figure out the reason behind my failure to come with the right output map?Any help is appreciated.

Hello,

Try to convert the SHP in ArcGis to ASC and import in ILWIS (ARC/Info . ASC or .NAS(non-comp ASCII raster....) is more easy.

The problem that you have is because of the projection of coordinate, there probably differ and because of that they disapear and give a blank image. If you want to put the maps in the same Georeference System you firts of all have to give the same coordinate system to all maps and them rasterize them using the same Georreference for all maps.

Good luck

Best Regards,

José Santos

HI,
I am facing the same problem as mentioned above. I want to perform sensitivity analysis in Illwis on raster maps prepared in Arcgis.

Hey,

Which type of data extension are you importing to ILWIS? and which is the ILWIS version you are using?
