[Ilwis] Flag this message Exporting from ILWIS to ENVI or ArcGIS

Brian Mubiwa
Hi colleagues, trust that you are all well.

I am trying to export some of my work from ILWIS so that I can do some more processes in ENVI or ArcGIS. I would like to export either my the results after Atmospheric and Radiometric correction or the Classification results. I have tried but I keep getting two outcomes: either I get the error message that says, 'Unknown Conversion Format'; or when I export (e.g. as TIFF/Geotiff) and open in ArcGIS or ENVI, then scene comes just as a completely black image. By any chance, do you know how I can do it?

I am working with Landsat5 & Landsat7, and using ILWIS 3.7

Thanks for your kind assistance,

Brian Mubiwa

Dear Mubiwa,
Try to export in ILWIS version 3.3 Academic. When you export that image to ArcGis try to change the symbology in ArcGis. Other alternative is export the file with the option Arc/InfoASCII.ASC and in ArcGis convert that format to raster (Conversion tools - To Raster - ASCII to Raster).

Best Regards,
José Santos

For those in need, you can still download Ilwis 3.3 from http://www.ilwis.org. Don't forget to download the patch that goes with it that will prevent the software from requesting the license code.

Happy new year all.
